Dogmother's Day

I know, being a mom to a dog doesn't really qualify me as deserving Mother's Day, but I'm certainly not going to turn down the opportunity to have a day focused on me!  While some mothers were taken out for breakfast or brunch, I requested a cinnamon roll from The Miller's Thumb bakery.  Tommy got there as soon as it opened and was 20th in line. He'd never been before but declared we were going to walk there once a week for breakfast once he retires. Fine by me!

As for my girl, I did make her more oatmeal today.  This made use of the turkey giblets I was sent home with yesterday. I added in some Super Greens powder and some powdered puppy replacement milk formula too.  We are out of oats, but well stocked for her to have enough for the next two weeks.

I baked some air fryer salmon using the manager's special fish I found at Price Rite two weeks ago.  We will have Sunday night salmon for another couple of weeks.  The veggies were baked in foil.  Tommy has a portion to take for lunch tomorrow. Frankie got a small bit of skin.

Tommy did surprise me with a propane fire pit, which will be easier than burning wood.  My clothes won't smell like smoke either! I've wanted one for a while, so it was sweet to see he'd gotten one and put it in place for me.

Did you celebrate the day? Or was it just a regular Sunday? Regardless, I hope it was wonderful!!!
