What We Wore
Today, "What I Wore" features Frankie. She is finally wearing "heat pants." I have been waiting months for her to go into heat! The general cycle for most females has them coming into season every six months. My girl goes in about once a year. Because it could've happened at any time in the past few months, it is a relief to have it here. This will be her last cycle. After this, she will be spayed. I want to get her back into daycare for socializing, and for that she can't be intact. She has benefited from the hormones associated with having a uterus and ovaries. And now we will prevent the chances of uterine cancer. One of my breeders likes to see the girls have a few heat cycles, whether they will breed or not. But buy 4 or 5 (no later than 6), he likes them spayed. This will end her career in the show ring for now. Once she is 7, she can go back in as a veteran.
Dinner was linguini topped with the sauce I made yesterday. The bread on the side was the rest of the pizza dough flat bread from Sunday. There is enough sauce left for me to make a pot of chili. I don't know about you, but I could eat linguini and a red/tomato-based sauce every day!
It was a simple day for me. Pool and dog walking, plus a load of laundry. Aren't simple days the best?
Our daughter blames me for her alabaster legs. LOL Yep! I got 'em too. :)
ReplyDelete"Alabaster." What a nice way to describe them!
DeleteAs I walked to get the mail today, I looked at my pasty white legs and thought, "Man I need to get outside more."
ReplyDeleteGlad you found heat pants and could get them with some minor adjustments to work.
God bless.
I tried bronzer/fake tanner once. Not a good look...
DeleteI had to order the pants on-line. Finding them retail is impossible, and I haven't been going to dog shows lately. I will give them away after this for another Britanny, who all have the same sizing problem. The stitches I put in can be easily pulled out.
