Sunday Somethings

My day started with a sewing project. I decided to make lounging pants from one of the sheets I got yesterday.  There's a bleach stain, so it wouldn't look great on the couch.  My pattern was a pair of cheap scrubs I found on clearance when the Big Lots near us closed.  I paid less than a dollar with the intention of cutting them up to use as a pattern.

I made this sleep shirt months ago. Also from a sheet.  There are a few threads to snip, but I am OK with it looking a little raw.  For this, I held paper up to a large top and traced the pattern.  My main goal for both pieces, was to have a proof of concept. Future projects will be neater.

Dinner was salmon with a citrus glaze, and a side of linguini with Singapore seasonings (Penzeys), chopped red pepper, onion, and mushrooms. The sauce is teriyaki and soy.  There is enough for Tommy to have lunch tomorrow.  This was marked down salmon, so the meal was under nine dollars for both of us plus one lunch.

My weekly sour dough loaf really rose! Last week's loaf will be finished tomorrow.  Frankie was also out of oatmeal. I used the bones from three chicken thighs I made for dinner on Thursday to make stock. She got the spare meat too.

And speaking of my girl, here she is enjoying the most recent mess she's made of my bed!

Did you enjoy and relax today, or were you compelled to get stuff done?  The weather this week is supposed to be lousy, so I have a few projects planned.

  1. You had a productive at home day. Nice use of the sheets. I spent part of the morning cleaning the patio.

  2. Definitely compelled to get things done around here. I have used sheets to make Harvey pj bottoms a lot. Works great.

    God bless.

    1. I've had a day here and there where I've done nothing. But they are rare!

I have enough material to make another set of pants too :-)
