It was a white day! When I bought this white vest (for a dollar) months ago, I never realized how often I would wear it.  Initially, I was hesitant because it's white -- and I thought it might get dirty or be hard to clean.  Neither is the case. It goes with so much too!  Everything today was thrifted -- or from a garage sale.  I wore this to the pool, and also to Price Rite.  Also to walk Frankie.

Dinner was spaghetti, topped with sauce from last week.  That's a hunk of my sour dough bread on the side.  The salad is romaine lettuce, pickled beets, seedless cucumber, red onion, naval orange, and Manchego cheese (with apricot and mango in it). I dressed the salad with the lemon and garlic salad dressing made this week. It was awesome. I am going to do this again.

We have had no luck hunting down a plain pork tenderloin, which Tommy wants to make for Easter.  There are plenty of the pre-marinated kind -- which is not what we want.  He is going to look at Wegmans tomorrow.  I will get my wine tomorrow too.

I didn't accomplish anything today, which was swell.  One thing I wanted to do, was sew a pillow cover, but I am fine with not getting to that.  My sign for Saturday's protest is done. Saturday's weather is not supposed to be that nice, So I will probably wrap it in Glad/plastic wrap.  Tomorrow and Saturday will mostly be cleaning days. I need to make dessert and biscuits.  The goal is for a low-key Easter. Have you started your prep yet?

  2. I have the ham thawing in our fridge for Easter Sunday dinner. I like your outfit on the day. You look good in the white colors. And your spaghetti dinner and salad look delicious!

    1. Thank you Belinda! I am not a big ham lover -- I like it in things, though. I might try to find some on sale after the holidays and then slice it up and freeze it. But I bet yours will be delicious.

  3. Your all-white outfit looks great! I've just gone down a rabbit hole when I Googled what a buck was, fancy it being a term used in the Colonial era when deerskins were traded for goods. Every day's a school day!
I can't wait to see what your sign says,,,good luck with the protest! xxx

    1. Thanks! The term for a dollar is good history, but my favorite currency slang is the Canadian "Loonie" for a dollar because it has a Loon bird on the coin. Their two dollar is a "Toonie!"

  4. Lovely white outfit, which I wouldn't dare wear, especially while eating. Waiting to see what your sign says. You go girl.

    God bless.
