My Day in Pictures!

 

I am beat! Today was my first day back swimming, I did some tariff shopping, backed up my files, my sister was over briefly, I walked Frankie, baked bread, went out to the Ukrainian community center to have dinner and see a friend's classic rock cover band.  I will let my pictures do the talking -- then I am off to bed.  Tomorrow is a big protest day, and I will need to put in a little extra effort to get ready.  History will take note of what citizens are doing on April 5, 2025.

Tariff shopping! Tommy also picked up more of the smoked salmon we enjoy on crackers.  Seafood is likely from India, and I just learned their tariff is going up to 34%!

My starter and dough survived!

I was way over-due for a back-up.  The SD cards I ordered were on sale. Two were $21 bucks and will be good for backing up files too.  These will be affected by tariffs and are not, and likely won't be made in the US for a long time (maybe never).

The Ukrainian lager was excellent. As for the bottles, the one on the right was heavy and would make a great weapon in a bar fight.  Both were delicious.  The kitchen is run by a lady who is a refuge from the war.  We don't eat out a lot, but we want the center to get our money.  And our Chiropractor is a talented -- and very entertaining bassist.

Now, I am off to bed.  As I said, tomorrow is a big day. I hope others will be inspired to make their feelings known.  It's been a crazy year, but this past week was bat-shit crazy. We can't be silent. Or at least I can't be!!!
